So you are using some of the Top Internet Marketing Strategies, you have a good Website/Blog Promotion Plan, and you have your Online Marketing Plan filled out. You know your Unique Selling Proposition (USP) and who your target audience really is. Or do you??
"What makes YOU stand out from the rest of the crowd"
All of these strategies are working towards "Attraction Marketing", so that YOU attract people to you. So no matter what kind of an expert you are, you want others to "Share" YOUR expert info with. You will move past mere "lead generation" to actually building a REAL business around what you're already doing. When you are doing attraction marketing correctly, it helps to sift and sort the prospects for you via all of your marketing pieces. This is totally different from chasing and running down people to acquire new business. The difference here is, that THEY come to YOU, not YOU chasing them down. And these are people that are ready to DO Business Online, not just use the Product that your group is providing. These are business people, looking to do business online.
Along this line, let's look at your Unique Selling Proposition. What makes YOU stand out from the rest of the crowd. As an example, I will show you:
MY USP -
Providing Internet Marketing System Solutions to Internet Marketers.
MY Target Audience -
online business owners & New Online Business's.
How did I figure this out?
First off, It took me a few months to determine the right model, due to trying to follow past internet business models. I applied for a business license in MD (where I lived at the time), built myself a website to do "Search Engine Optimization", and waited for the NEW Customers to come pouring in!
& waited & waited & waited.......
After 3 months of waiting & advertising, NO Customers???
What had I done wrong? I used my old Internet Business Model of build it & they will come. Before, I had a great niche, Tribes. They were both my niche & my target audience. Before, being one of the only Native American Internet Consultants, I had enough business to be able to choose who I worked with. This time around, I was going more global, so I targeted a whole category of Internet users; Internet Business's. What I didn't realize is that the SEO niche was saturated with with FREE offers of SEO work with the purchase of website hosting. Also, the businesses no longer hired a consultant, they hired Web Designers on staff, that did that sort of work too.
After I realized that the past models were dated, I have gone with the Attraction Marketing Model of Online Business.
